Me and My All: Playing Tourist in KL

Every once in a while, it’s fun to see your own city through the eyes of a tourist. This time, we hopped on the MRT and made our way to Jalan Sultan, Petaling Street, and the Central Market area.

Walking along the busy lanes of vendors, the energy was alive and smells of food, colorful stalls, the mix of locals and tourists all blending into one. At Petaling Street, we stopped to buy a few things, the kind of small treasures that make the place iconic.

For lunch, it had to be Chinese noodles, simple, delicious and comforting after all the walking. We strolled past Central Market, soaking in the old charm, and then made our way up to Dataran Merdeka. Standing there, in front of such a historic place, the city felt different, familiar yet new.

It was a day of MRT rides, street sights, and little adventures. Playing tourist in Kuala Lumpur may sound ordinary, but with the right company, it becomes extraordinary.
