Let’s be honest, most people don’t actually read FAQ sections, but if you made it here, congratulations! 🎉 You either really want to know more about me, or you’re just killing time (either way, I appreciate it).
This section is a mix of common questions, random thoughts, and things people might ask if we were having a casual chat over coffee. So, if you’re curious about why I started this blog, what I’m up to, or if I really think I can lose weight. Go, keep reading.
Let’s get into it.
What is this blog about?
Well, it’s a personal blog, which basically means anything goes. I love writing, and I need a space to rant, reflect, and occasionally drop some wisdom (or nonsense, depending on my mood). Now that I’m pursuing my Master’s, expect more political musings—because what’s a personal blog without some intellectual venting? Who knows, maybe one day, all this rambling will turn into a book.
Why blog and not social media?
Ah, good question. Social media is great, but I like my thoughts to have a proper home—not get lost in an endless scroll of food pictures and viral dances. Also, social media = family members watching 👀, and let’s be real, not every opinion I have is family-friendly (not in that way, just… different from the mass). Plus, a blog allows me to write in both Malay and English, with a wider reach beyond my usual circle.
Why Political Science?
I’ve been a science stream student my whole life. But let’s be honest—I wasn’t about to win a Nobel Prize. After working in different industries, I realized social science is just as powerful as hard science. Political Science isn’t just about politicians—it’s about governance, systems, and how the world actually works. And it’s got depth! I can explore:
- Political Economy (because money runs the world)
- Environmental Politics (because climate change is real)
- Digital Government (because AI might take over)
- Public Policy & Governance (because rules shape our lives)
- Diversity & Inclusion (because representation matters)
And that’s just the beginning.
What do you want to achieve?
Haha, you mean, besides world domination? 😆 No, but seriously—since I’m already deep into my Master’s, why stop there? A PhD sounds good. Academic life isn’t a bad place to be. Am I too old for this? Maybe. But have you ever seen a young professor? Exactly. At least I already have the wise look. Pray for me.
What are your interests?
I love to read, but I also waste way too much time doom-scrolling and binge-watching TV shows (legal, conspiracy, political dramas—you name it). I need to cut my screen time, but let’s be real, that’s easier said than done. I also love writing. Being an introvert, I tend to delete my opinions before they see the light of day. This blog is my commitment to finally letting my thoughts stay.
Tell me about My All.
We’ve been together for 20+ years. I’m far from the perfect partner, but I show up—through all the ups and downs. She’s my pillar, always there, always supporting. Fun fact: My mom loves her more than me. I’m lucky, and I know it. I want to be with her till the end of time.
Who influenced you the most?
Cliché question la… but fine, I’ll answer. You’d expect me to say some celebrity, academic, or scholar. But honestly? My late Dad.
We didn’t spend much time together, but somehow, his thoughts and values still reached me. It’s weird. Almost magical. He shaped who I am today, even from a distance.
Do you want to be a politician?
Haha, which party should I join?
What do you really want to do?
I want to help people, do good, and create something that lasts beyond me. Legacy matters. I don’t have kids, so the best way to keep earning good deeds after I’m gone is through:
- ‘Ilmu yang bermanfaat’ (beneficial knowledge)
- ‘Sedekah jariah yang berterusan’ (continuous charity)
Basically, I need to be wise and rich. That actually sounds like a great name—Wise & Rich
Do you think you can lose weight?
So off-topic, but okay. Come back in a few months and check. If I succeed, I’ll flex. If not… let’s pretend this question never happened. 😆
