A New Chapter: The Beginning of My Master’s Journey

Today marks the official start of my Master’s journey, a new chapter filled with challenges, learning, and growth. The day began with a faculty briefing led by the Deputy Dean, where he outlined the road ahead, introduced the staff, lecturers, and program coordinators, and emphasized the dos and don’ts of this academic pursuit.

Beyond just coursework, we were reminded that this journey is about discipline, resilience, and pushing our own limits. It’s not just about earning a degree but it’s about transforming knowledge into wisdom, effort into excellence.

The librarian then took over, guiding us on how to fully utilize the university’s vast resources. From research databases to digital archives, the library isn’t just a place for books but it’s a powerhouse of knowledge waiting to be explored. It’s clear that mastering the art of research will be just as crucial as mastering the subjects themselves.

Finally, we were introduced to UKM Folia, a web-based one-stop center for all academic interactions includes submitting assignments, participating in forums, and engaging with lecturers and fellow colleagues. It’s a digital gateway that connects us to the academic world, ensuring that no student is ever truly alone in this journey.

This induction session was more than just an introduction but it was a reminder that I’m stepping into something bigger than myself. The next session, scheduled for this Thursday, will be with my specific department, and I can’t wait to meet my fellow coursemates.

With classes starting next week, the anticipation is real. A mix of excitement, a bit of nervousness, but above all is determination. This journey won’t be easy, but I’m ready to embrace every challenge that comes my way.
