One Night Above the Clouds

It was a one-night trip to Genting Highlands.

Cold. Misty. Colourful. Vibrant.

This time, it was me and My All.

The air was sharp the moment we arrived. Fog drifted in slowly, wrapping buildings and lights until everything felt suspended in the clouds. Genting has a way of making distance feel irrelevant. It is near, yet it feels far enough to become an escape.

We took the cable car up, watching the ground disappear beneath us. Trees faded into mist, and the higher we went, the quieter everything felt inside. The ride itself was already part of the experience, a gentle pause before stepping into a different pace.

We walked around without plans. Genting Premium Outlet was part of the day, but there was no urgency. Just browsing, stopping, sitting, warming up, and moving again when it felt right. Being together made the walking feel lighter.

Meals were unhurried. Breakfast and dinner in the sky, surrounded by glass and clouds drifting past. The cold air made food taste better. Conversations slowed down. Silence felt natural.

As night came, Genting shifted. Lights cut through the fog, colours reflected off wet surfaces, and the place felt alive without being overwhelming. It was busy, yet strangely calm when you are not chasing anything.

This trip was simple. No long plans. No checklist. Just a brief escape, shared, close to home, but far enough to feel like a reset.

Sometimes one night is enough.
